A GROUP of four teenagers are set to take over the airwaves when they produce their own radio show to celebrate music festival.

The teenagers, who are taking part in this summer’s Imagine You Can National Citizen Service project in Redcar and East Cleveland, will be working on the Summer Sound 2016 event at Gisborough Priory.

In preparation, Paul Garbutt, Bethany Moore and Matthew Clarke from Laurence Jackson School in Guisborough, along with Chloe Donovan from Egglescliffe School, for radio training at local station Zetland FM, which is based in Redcar.

They will be putting together interviews and audience feedback from the event, which will go forward for a special one hour programme, broadcast on Friday, August 5 between 6pm-7pm.

Jason Bushby, from event organiser JAZ Events, said: “Our aim one day would be to establish Summer Sound as a major music festival, bringing in big names and putting the area on the map as a destination for festival goers.”
