PEOPLE are being reminded to drink responsibly in the hot weather expected this weekend.
Whether it’s a barbecue, a beer garden or a night out, officers are reminding people not to drink too much as they all too regularly see the consequences of drinking of excessive alcohol.
Acting Superintendent Kathy Prudom (CORR), of Cleveland Police, said: “In hot weather people tend to go out more and this usually means that emergency services are busier than usual.
“People need to keep themselves hydrated but we just want to remind people that if they choose to drink alcohol then we would ask them to drink responsibly. The majority of people do behave themselves, however, please be warned that police will not tolerate alcohol-fuelled antisocial behaviour.”
