A CHARITY boss was the main speaker at a women’s lunch.

Andrea Flynn, director of Ferryhill-based Enter CIC, which provides performance opportunities for children from deprived backgrounds, spoke about her life and work at the County Durham Community Foundation’s (CDCF) sixth annual Women’s Spring Lunch.

Radio presenter Lisa Shaw hosted the event, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Durham and CDCF chief executive Barbara Gubbins also attended.

The CDCF is an independent grant-giving charity and is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. Since 1995, it has made grants of more than £28m to groups and individuals across County Durham and Darlington and currently manages around 200 funds.
