CELEBRITIES Pam Royle of Tyne Tees TV and one of the area's premier chefs, Eugene McCoy of The Crathorne Arms, are to judge the Stockton district's very own Bake Off competition in aid of the Butterwick Hospice.

The competition has been organised Jacksons Law Firm and 20 companies from across the borough will bake a cake that says something about their business.

The grand finale will be held at the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall on Thursday, June 4 and there will be music as well as stalls, afternoon and cookery demonstrations, all in aid of the Butterwick Hospice.

Geoff Skeoch, senior partner of Jacksons, which has had a presence in the Tees Valley for 130 years, said “We are very proud of our long association with the hospice and have raised many thousands of pounds for the hospice through their wills months. The Butterwick Bake Off is a new venture for us but we hope to raise vital funds for the hospice whilst having some fun."

Paul Frost, who is Master of Ceremonies of the Butterwick Bake Off and was once a TV personality himself, said: “It will be great to work with Pam Royle again after such a long time, looking forward to it”.

Eugene McCoy has been nationally known as a highly regarded chef for decades and currently runs The Crathorne Arms at Crathorne, near Yarm.

The event takes place between 4pm and 7pm. Tickets cost £20 and can be bought from Jacksons by telephoning 01642 356500 or sending an email to dduffy@jacksons-law.com
