A CHARITY concert to raise cash for young musicians is opening a special exhibition of vintage guitars in North Yorkshire.

Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn will hold the concert tomorrow (Wednesday, April 1) at 7.30pm in its Garden Rooms, and will feature Gareth Pearson, Raymond Burley, John Etheridge, Gordon Giltrap and Michele Breeze, who has starred in hit musical Evita.

Hundreds of tickets have been sold but some are still available to buy on the door or on 01969-621146.

Vintage guitar expert and collector Paul Brett whose instruments will be exhibited at Tennants the same evening, is helping organise the concert for Future Talent - a charity founded by HRH The Duchess of Kent and Nicholas Robinson in 2004 providing financial support to young musicians aged between five and 18, who demonstrate outstanding musical ability but do not have the financial means to achieve their goal.

Chairman Nicholas Robinson and chief executive Chris Titley will be in attendance on the evening.

John Hornby Skewes and Co Ltd will be donating a selection of signature guitars for an auction during the evening, including Paul Brett and Gordon Giltrap Signature models from their best-selling Vintage guitar range.

The exhibition will run until the end of May. On June 20 an auction will be held at Tennants which will include many of the guitars in the Paul Brett Collection.

Tickets for the charity concert cost £15.
