TWO Teesside comedy groups will tackle the winter blues with a bumper-size carnival of alternative comedy this weekend.

THIS is a regular comedy night at The Westgarth Social Club on Southfield Road, Middlesbrough, where Edinburgh Fringe regulars Heavy Petting and local sketch group Cheap Craic perform comedy sketches alongside some of the rising stars of the North East stand up comedy scene.

Tomorrow (Saturday, November 1), they will be joined by BBC New Comedy Awards contender David Callaghan, Alistair Greaves and John Louis for an all new helping of satire, silliness and musical numbers.

Entry costs £4 on the door and the show starts at 8pm.
