POLICE are investigating two arson attacks on vehicles in east Durham, on Wednesday, July 17.
A white Range Rover Sport was set alight in Waskerley Drive, Shotton Colliery, at 11.30pm. The flames then spread to the attached garage of a house.
In the second incident, a white Mercedes C Class was set on fire in St Aidan’s Terrace, Trimdon Station - the flames spreading to an adjacent vehicle, caravan and house.
Detective Sergeant Andy Reynolds said: “There is no obvious link between the two offences but given the timings and similarities we are certainly not ruling it out.”
Anyone with information should contact Durham Police on 101.
