Motorcyclist hurt after accident

A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after a collision with a van.
The accident happened on the A67 in Merrybent village, near Darlington, at just after 7pm.
Firefighters had to release the motoryclist, thought to be aged in his mid-twenties, who was trapped under the Transit van.
He was taken by ambulance to the James Cook University Hospital for treatment to a leg injury.
The accident happened between Merrybent Drive and Ulnaby Lane and road is closed in both directions at The Green in Merrybent.
