A BROKEN down train has caused a headache for rail passengers in the North-East.
The freight train got into trouble at Eaglescliffe, near Middlesbrough with First TransPennine Express services between the town and York and Manchester Airport affected.
All lines have now reopened, but delays of up to 60 minutes to trains between Darlington and Northallerton and Middlesbrough and Sunderland are being experienced while services return to normal. This is expected to continue until 4pm.
