A1 closed in both directions in County Durham
THE A1(M) has reopened in both directions in County Durham after police resolved an incident that had been ongoing for some time.
Police would not say what the incident was that they were dealing with, but at 10pm Durham Road Policing Unit wrote: "The road network at Junction 59 has now returned to normal. All roads flowing again. Thank you. Incident concluded without injury."
