A WEBSITE offering up-to-the-minute information on North-East rail departures is now available on mobile phones.
The Bishop Line also offers residents of Darlington and South Durham facts about the history of the historic train line as well as the rail companies’ annual reports.
The line stretches from Bishop Auckland through Shildon, Newton Aycliffe and Heighington to Darlington’s North Road and Bank Top.
The line then continues as the Tees Valley line to Saltburn via Eaglescliffe, Middlesbrough and Redcar.
Each station has its own page with information about it as well as departure details.
Users will also find links to the major rail companies to help them find connections to travel further afield.
Robert Whitehouse, Community Rail Officer for the Bishop Line said: “The new Bishop Line website will make it easier than ever to make rail the obvious choice for commuters, shoppers and day trippers across Darlington and South Durham.”
