A TANKER spiilage has caused part of the A19 to be closed this evening.
Police were called to a report of a spillage from a tanker at just after 6pm.
Emergency services are at the scene and the A19 is closed southbound from the junction with the A689, near Wolviston.
The liquid has been identified and although it is flammable, there are no issues for local residents or anyone travelling in the area.
The A19 is likely to remain closed into the night.
