POLICE are trying to trace a mental health patient who has not been seen since he left a North-East nursing home last Tuesday evening.
They are concerned about 45- year-old Graham Henderson's health because he suffers from a number of medical conditions, including diabetes, and may not have medication.
Staff at the Etherley Lodge residential home, near Bishop Auckland, reported him missing on Wednesday afternoon.
They said he had last been in the premises at about 8.45pm the previous night. Since then, there have been no confirmed sightings of him, and he has made no contact with the home or his family, who live in the Chester-le- Street area.
He has been reported missing twice this year. In February, he travelled to London, where he stayed in a hotel. He returned to the home five days later.
In April, he was away overnight, staying at a hotel near Durham Tees Valley Airport.
He is 5ft 10in and stocky, with brown eyes and short dark hair.
He usually has a beard which, like his hair, is greying.
He was last seen wearing a blue bomber jacket, grey sweatshirt and grey tracksuit bottoms. He may also have had some distinctive, old-fashioned headphones.
Police have checked with relatives to see if he has been in touch and have alerted bus companies to be on the lookout.
Anyone with information is asked to call 0845-60-60-365.
