Police hunt armed robbers

POLICE are hunting armed robbers who threatened a man with a gun in North Yorkshire.

Two youths robbed a man after approaching him in Scarborough and threatening him with a hand gun.

The incident took place on Stepney Grove in the coastal town at 5.25pm on Friday.

As the man walked towards Stepney Drive the youths approached him and made the threats.

They stole a black leather briefcase, a wallet and a watch.

They then left the uninjured man before heading off towards Stepney Drive.

The first youth was 6ft tall, of a slim build with broad shoulders, with dark hair and a thin face.

He was wearing a hoody and tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down them.

The second youth was 5ft 9in tall and he was also wearing a hoody and tracksuit bottoms.
