FOUR people and a young child were taken to hospital after two cars were involved in a collision outside Elddis Transport in Delves Lane, Consett, earlier this evening.
Firefighters cut one man free from the wreckage. Two men, one woman and a child were taken to the University Hospital of North Durham and one man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees. The accident happened shortly after 5pm.
