POLICE have confirmed they are not looking for anyone in connection with the discovery of a man found dead in woodland.
But they are still unable to confirm the identity of the man, whose body was found by a passer-by in a wooded area near a children's play-park, in the Hylton Castle area of Sunderland.
An investigation was sparked following the grim discovery, by a local man, in undergrowth off Craigavon Road, at 5.50pm yesterday.

Officers cordoned off the immediate vicinity, leading to the entrance to Hylton Dene Park, near the ruins of medieval Hylton Castle, prior to a thorough search of the area.
Northumbria Police initially said the cause was unknown and detectives were awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
But, following further investigations, a force spokesman said tonight: "Inquiries into this incident are now completed and police are not looking for anyone in connection with this man's death.
"The man has not been formally identified by next of kin and, as such, will not be identified at this time."
The nearby castle, a National Trust property, stands amid almost 200-acres of surrounding grassland and woods, which are partly cared for by the Friends of Hylton Dene group.
