POLICE have solved a hit and run crime by following a trail of horse manure.
A man driving a horse and cart in Bavaria scraped a parked car, causing 2,000 euros of damage, but failed to stop and report the accident.
Droppings and hoof-prints in the town of Schweinfurt led detectives to the suspect who immediately confessed.
