AN 86-year-old woman sent a female thief packing at a supermarket - by whacking her round the head with a packet of bacon.
The plucky pensioner was shopping at an Iceland store in Altrincham when the thief grabbed her and demanded money. The crook ran off under the barrage of bacon blows.
