A GRANDMOTHER who got locked in a public toilet for four days passed the time by knitting a Christmas scarf for one of her grandchildren.
Gladys Phillips, 82, got locked in the loo in Felixstowe but had luckily just been to the shops to collect a new ball of pink wool.
By the time she had been rescued by a workman, the scarf was finished. She ate a bag of mint imperials and kept warm by sitting under a hand-dryer.
