A love-struck lawyer went to great lengths to pop the question to his girlfriend - by hiding the proposal in The Times crossword.
Matthew Dick persuaded newspaper bosses to change the cryptic clues to help him ask for Delyth Hughes' hand in marriage.
The clue for one across was: "Pretty Welsh girl widely thought not to be all there." The answer was "Delyth" and the other solutions included the word "proposal".
Matthew, 38, underlined the two answers over breakfast before producing a ring and popping the question.
