A PENSIONER was left in a state of shock after a tin of red paint “exploded” all over her at a DIY store’s checkout.
Alison Smedley, 68, had bought the red paint to touch up her doorstep but was left covered in paint when the tin “went off like a bomb” at the Homebase store in Aylesbury.
Homebase has apologised and paid Mrs Smedley £200 compensation.
