THE latest incarnation of the Incredible Hulk has done something TV version Lou Ferrigno would never have dreamed of – and meekly given in to police.

Pictures of a female reveller dressed as the green-skinned comic-book giant were flashed around the globe after a teenage girl was assaulted outside a York burger bar.

And, stung by the worldwide publicity, the humbled party girl has now washed off the body paint and given herself up to police.

CCTV pictures of the she-Hulk, complete with red wig and torn T-shirt, were shown all over the UK and even went as far as the United States, Canada and Australia.

They were released after an incident in York in the early hours of April 26 when the Hulk look-a-like left the MacDonald’s restaurant on Blake Street with a group of friends.

As a result of the assault a 17-year-old local girl was left with a black eye and other bruising to her face.

Yesterday police said that as a result of the publicity a 19-year-old woman from the nearby village of Askham Bryan had voluntarily attended York police station and admitted the offence.

With the agreement of the victim, to whom she has apologised, the woman was given a Community Resolution Disposal – meaning there will be no further action.
