Councillor Fahy states that "tenants needs must, and always will, come first" (News Shopper, January 29), confirming that leaseholders are being unfairly discriminated against by Greenwich Council.

To quash organised representation, the council disbanded Greenwich Leaseholders Association freezing £5,000 which had been given to assist them. Now leaseholders are left to check council bills which continue to be incorrect.

Moreover, leaseholders very often cannot reconcile how bills for work have been split between tenants and leaseholders - the suspicion of many is that leaseholders bear more than their fair share of common works.

Commission for buildings insurance arranged by the Council on behalf of leaseholders continues to be wrongly withheld by the council.

Like many of his peers, Cllr Fahy blames everyone but his department for the growing fiasco.
