A POPULAR district nurse who has looked after patients in Bexley for 29 years, celebrated her retirement in Welling.
More than 70 nurses packed Danson Clinic, in Dansington Road, for Liz Packworth's retirement party.
After training as a midwife, Mrs Packworth, 62, of Gypsy Road, became a staff nurse at Erith Hospital. She then became a district nurse in Welling where she worked for 26 years.
Nurse Karen Wardle, who was trained by Mrs Packworth, said: “She has seen many changes to the role of district nurse over the years and has taken it in her stride. We wish her a happy retirement and hope she enjoys looking after her new grandson Henry.”
