The family friendly event with a central arena will this year host the Devils Horsemen Stunt Team as seen on TV, the Ben Potters Birds of Prey display, the sheep show, supported by sheep racing and the dog and duck show. There will also be craft and trade stands, show jumping, Cleveland Canines Dog Show and so much more.
Something new for this year - live music near the bar area with Brigit's Mantle and Acoustic Brew. Brigit's Mantle are a Teesside based six piece Irish folk band, playing classic numbers made famous by the likes of The Dubliners, the Pogues and Planxty. Acoustic Brew are from North Yorkshire and cover songs of Aerosmith, Oasis, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Take That, Lady Gaga and many more. Open art exhibition returns for another year. Visitors will enjoy an ever-changing display of work from amateur and professional artists. The exhibition takes over every part of our gallery space, and all the work is for sale. Artists book a spot on our wall or hire a cabinet to display their work, then hold their breath and wait. Once a piece sells, the artist replaces it with another.

The Northern Echo: Sunderland International Airshow, Seaburn and Roker seafronts, this weekend
The Sunderland Airshow is one of the largest seafront airshows in the UK and the only major airshow in the North-East. It offers incredible aerial displays, acrobatics, vintage aircraft and, back on the ground, music and family entertainment. This year’s event starts with its traditional launch party at Cliffe Park on the evening of Friday, July 22, which includes a small flying display in the evening alongside ground events such as live music and fireworks. The airshow continues across the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, with exciting activities and entertainment on the ground as well as all the action in the sky, there’ll be something for everyone at the free, family-friendly airshow.

Family friendly music, arts and science festival set in North Yorkshire parkland. Topping the bill at the seventh running of the Deer Shed Festival, will be Beth Orton and Mercury Prize nominees, Everything Everything, in a line-up which also includes C Duncan, Money, and Field Music. Alongside a range of family-oriented science and arts activities and shows, other music acts will include folk singer, Sam Lee, Kate Stables’ This Is The Kit, pop pioneers, White, singer-songwriter, Dan Mangan, Welsh and Cornish speaking dancer and singer, Gwenno, punk-pop singer, Misty Miller and Ex-Racehorses frontman, Meilyr Jones. Taste of Teesdale Festival, Raby Castle, Staindrop, on Sunday, 10-4pm. 
Organised by Barnard Castle Farmers Market and held in the grounds of the Castle, ‘Taste of Teesdale Festival’ brings together an abundance of artisan food and drink from across the region. From bangers and bread, to pickles and pies, meet and buy from local producers as chefs’ prepare some mouth-watering dishes for all ages.
