A THREE car crash on a busy road saw one person taken to hospital yesterday (Sunday, May 8).
At around 2.35pm, three vehicles collided on the A66 eastbound, close to the Sadberge turn-off.
The incident involved several occupants travelling in a Ford Fiesta, Citroen DS3 and Citroen Berlingo.
One person was taken to hospital suffering with neck pain following the incident, with no major injuries reported.
At least three fire engines and police responded to the accident.
The incident also led to severe traffic congestion in the area after the A66 eastbound was closed east of Sadberge.
