THE race is on to find the winner of The Northern Echo's Love Your Pet competition.
Romantic meals and rom-coms are all well and good for Valentine’s Day, but some people prefer the uncomplicated company of their beloved pets, so as February 14 approaches the hunt is on to find the region's most loveable pets.
Over the last month more than 100 people have entered pictures of their furry friends and judges Sarah Caldecott, Northern Echo photographic co-ordinator and competition organiser, and Vicki Robertson, of The Designer Dog Company, have chosen their top five, which will now go to public vote.
The owner with the most votes at 12pm, February 11, wins a professional pet photography shoot and £75 to spend at thedesignerdogcompany.co.uk, so get voting now.
