AN organic dairy farm in the North-East has taken part in a national campaign to boost business in the UK.

The Business is Great Britain campaign is running a pass it on scheme throughout March, to encourage businesses to share their tips and tricks to the wider business community.

Acorn Dairy, near Darlington, has been chosen to take part in the campaign, and the farm’s Caroline Bell, has shared her advice across Twitter and LinkedIn.

“We’re very proud of the business we have built and grown, and to pass on our most valuable piece of advice as part of the Business is Great campaign is fantastic,” she said.

“Here we join other small businesses across the country highlighting their top tips for business growth, and we feel honoured to have been chosen to share our experiences with our peers.

“As the director of a small, family run business, I always try to remember to manage time effectively.

“For example, I write press releases when our organic dairy is a little quieter later in the evening, to give a faster and better quality result. It allows me to balance the many priorities I face each day.”

All businesses involved in the campaign have received Government support from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills or UK Trade and Investment, from help with exporting to new markets and tax relief for innovation, to hiring apprentices to grow their teams.

It culminated at an event at Gatwick Airport yesterday (Monday, March 23), where businesses came together to learn more about international growth and export opportunities.
