FREEMASONS have given a helping hand to support people living with lymphoma in the region.

The Durham Masonic Benevolent Fund has presented £500 to the Lymphoma Association’s Teesside support group.

Chairman of Durham Benevolence, John Webster, presented a cheque to the group’s organiser, David Iles, at a recent meeting of the group.

The money will be used to give practical support and advice to people in the region living with lymphoma.

Mr Iles said: "Our sincere thanks should go to the benevolent committee."

The group’s next meeting will be held on Thursday, March 12 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Trinity Holistic Centre, at James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
