THE former chairman of the UK Star Wars Fan Club is preparing to auction his collection of action figures on Teesside later this month.
Craig Stevens could net himself a fortune when the collection goes under the hammer at Vectis Auctions, in Stockton, on January 28.
One of the most valuable items, a rare Boba Fett action figure, could fetch as much as £10,000 on its own.
Craig's collection is so big that auctioneers have decided to sell it over two days.
Craig said: "I queued up to see Star Wars in 1977. Since then I have amassed one of the world's largest collections of British Star Wars memorabilia."
The fan admitted having mixed feelings about the auction which, he said, would be "heart wrenching".
"I am sure each one will go to a good home and be protected and cherished by my fellow collectors," he said.
