SELF-PROCLAIMED psychic Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard is scrapping the form book for this weekend's Grand National, using his powers of prediction to help readers turn a 'prophet' in the big race.
Dean, from Bishop Auckland, who claims to have never had a horse out of the top three, in eight years also claims to have forecast three of the last four Gold Cup Winners and beaten a team of professionals seven times in eight years, during a annual Grand National challenge.
Here are Dean's PSYCHIC SIX to watch ahead of the big race on Saturday 5th April 2013:
- Balthazar King
- Teaforthree
- Monbeg Dude
- Double Seven
- Chance Du Roy
- Night In Milan (Reserve is The Rainbow Hunter as Dean feels N.I.M may not run)
PREVIOUS WINNER: Jockey Jason Maguire on his way to victory aboard Ballabriggs in the 2011 Grand National when Dean also picked second-placed Oscar Time
Dean said: "If I look into my crystal ball and pick a few from my six then Monbeg Dude is high on my list, he is currently 14–1 with some bookies at the moment; the long shot I am drawn to is Chance Du Roy (currently 40–1)."
