DETECTIVES are investigating the unexplained death of a 53-year-old woman.
Susan Rose O’Connor was admitted to Harrogate District Hospital yesterday, with serious injuries.
Concerned medical staff got in touch with police.
Ms O’Connor died earlier today. Officers from North Yorkshire Police have been making inquiries in and around an address in the town’s Prospect Place, to establish how she suffered her fatal injuries.
Detective Sergeant Dave Horne, of Harrogate CID, said: “At the moment, Susan’s death is being treated as unexplained.
“It is important that anyone who can help us establish how she sustained her injuries gets in touch.”
A 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is helping police with their inquiries. Police are appealing to anyone who can help with the investigation Ms O’Connor’s death to come forward.
Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option two - and ask for Harrogate CID.
