A MAJOR search was launched yesterday after a 21-year-old man was seen to remove all his clothes and run towards the River Ouse.
Police were joined by firefighters and air support after Jordan Sullivan was seen running towards the river at Naburn, near York, at around 9.30am.
However as dusk fell last night he still had not been found and police issued an urgent appeal for information in an effort to locate him.
He is about 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build and short dark hair. He also has a tattoo of a crucifix running between his shoulder blades.
PC Alex Dobson said: "I am urging anyone who may have seen a naked man in area to contact the police immediately.
"I am also appealing to anyone who may have seen any unusual activity near the River Ouse.”
Anyone who can help locate Jordan Sullivan should contact police on 101 and select option 1.
