TWO people were robbed in Stockton by a man who threatened them with a BB gun.

The first robbery happened outside the Queen Vic pub in Yarm Road, Stockton, between 11.30pm and 12.05am on Monday, May 28.

Two men approached the 42-year-old male victim, threatened him with a suspected BB gun, assaulted him and then stole money from him.

The victim suffered from swelling to his hand and eye, but did not receive medical treatment.

The two men also shot the victim’s friend with the BB gun causing minor injuries to his chest and back.

The second robbery happened at about 4am on May 29 in Grove Street when two men threatened a 32-year-old woman with a weapon, assaulted her and then stole her money.

She was uninjured and police officers believe the same two men are responsible for both robberies.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to contact Cleveland Police on 101.
