A MAN was left with serious head injuries after a violent attack in Stockton.
Officers were called to Ivy House in Dovecot Street at about 11.50pm on Saturday, following reports of a disturbance.
They found a 28-year-old man suffering from serious head injuries and four other men with minor injuries.
The 28-year-old was taken to James Cook University Hospital, where his condition was described yesterday as “critical but stable”.
A 35-year-old man from the Stockton area was later arrested by police on suspicion of assault.
He was taken into custody where he remained throughout yesterday.
