A RENOWNED mountaineer will chronicle his climbing adventures at a talk entitled ‘Achieving the Dream’.
Chris Brown MBE is only the tenth Briton to have successfully scaled the ‘Seven Summits’ - the highest peaks on each continent.
He will be appearing at Preston Park Museum and Grounds in Eaglescliffe on May 12 at 7pm.
The museum is hosting an exhibition showcasing the life and legacy of pioneering UK climber Joe Tasker, who was brought up in nearby Billingham, and which runs until the latter end of June.
Mr Tasker vanished while climbing Mount Everest in May 1982 and his body has never been found.
To book tickets for the talk, priced at £8, call (01642) 527375. Entry to the exhibition is free with museum admission.
