A COUPLE were attacked in the face with a noxious chemical as they walked along the street.
The pair were walking along New Road in Guisborough at about half past midnight yesterday, Friday, when they were approached by two people, one of whom squirted a liquid into the faces of the victims.
They have not suffered lasting injuries but Cleveland Police said they 'experienced temporary discomfort and loss of senses'.
The first attacker was described as being a man, about 6ft tall and wearing dark clothing with a hood pulled up on his head.
The second was much smaller at 5ft tall, wearing a hood and dark clothing, and it was not known if the second attacker was male or female.
