A CONVICTED sex offender is facing jail after being caught with indecent images and trying to meet a teenage boy.
Dennis Davies, 26, pleaded guilty to a total of six charges when he appeared at Teesside Crown Court yesterday.
He will be sentenced on February 22 after a background report is compiled on him by a probation officer.
Davies was made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order at Exeter Crown Court in 2010 which banned him from certain activities.
He breached that order by trying to meet the 15-year-old, and he also pleaded guilty to failing to register with police two alias names he was using.
Davies, of Easton Street, Thornaby, near Stockton, was granted bail by Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC, until he is sentenced.
The judge said: “You have had the good sense to plead guilty to this indictment and you will be given appropriate credit for those pleas.
“I want the probation officer to look at an element of dangerousness as well.”
Davies admitted possessing a total of 163 indecent images of children, an image of extreme pornography, and a prohibited image, and attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity.
