ARREST: Drugs and weapons recovered from vehicle stopped by police in Ingleby Barwick
CANNABIS and weapons recovered when police searched a car they pulled over in the early hours.
Officers recovered £15,000 worth of cannabis from the Volkswagen Jetta when it was stopped on Chedworth Court in Ingleby Barwick shortly before 1am this morning.
The drugs were found in the vehicle, alongside a pick axe handle and two knives.
- A 36-year-old man from the Thornaby area was arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possession of offensive weapons. He remains in police custody at this time.
