A GENEROUS £30,000 donation to a North-East hospice is being celebrated by a business family.
Butterwick Hospice has received the cheque on behalf of Teesside brothers, Alastair and Mike Powell, managing director and co-director of Cleveland Cable Company respectively.
The cash is a joint donation from the company and the Powell’s other business, The Keys bar, nightclub and restaurant in Yarm High Street.
Alistair Powell has become the first corporate patron of Butterwick, and his daughter, Vicky, said: “It’s wonderful to be so closely associated with Butterwick.
“We do all we can to help them.
“It’s a local charity for local people doing such wonderful work.”
