A MAN has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder following an incident in a Chinese takeaway at the weekend.
Zheng Guan Lin appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court yesterday after a man was badly injured at Wings Chinese, on Oxbridge Lane, Stockton on Sunday.
The 42-year-old, of Hawthorn Road, Spennymoor, made a brief appearance in court before the case was sent to Teesside Crown Court next month.
A 44-year-old man, who was found with serious head and facial injuries at the scene, is in ‘critical but stable’ condition in hospital.
Lin will appear before Teesside Crown Court on Tuesday, February 20.
