A CHARITY is allowing children and young people with autism to sponsor animal.

Daisy Chain is offering the chance for kids to sponsor animals including guinea pigs, sheep, goats, Shetland ponies, rabbits, alpacas, chickens, ducks – and even non-furry offerings such as lizards, snakes and stick insects.

Once an animal has been chosen, the kids will receive an adoption certificate and welcome pack, a photograph, birthday and Christmas cards, your name displayed on the sponsor board in the barn, an e-newsletter to keep you updated with all the news of the farm plus two opportunities to visit your animal throughout the year.

Stuart Dexter, Daisy Chain's chief executive, said: "Our animals are an incredible resource - many children struggle to develop relationships so being able to interact with the animals and help to take care of them is extremely enriching."
