A GIANT sparkling Reindeer was spotted flying over the rooftops of Stockton town centre as preparations are in full-flight for a festive event.
The super-seized decorations were craned into place over the weekend as Stockton Sparkles starts to take shape.
The giant decorations on the High Street are complementing the giant bow and ribbon above buildings overlooking the fountains, and will soon be joined by polar bears, a gift box and 50ft Christmas tree.
Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton Borough Council’s cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: “The arrival of our giant illuminated decorations is the first sign Stockton Sparkles is just around the corner.
"Make a date in your diary for the launch night to enjoy a special night of festive fun – and to see these extra special decorations come to life, transforming Stockton Town Centre into a magical winter wonderland awash with sparkling lights and festive atmosphere."
The decorations will be switched on during the launch night which starts at 5.30pm on Thursday, November 30.
