AN INDEPENDENT retro gaming store is moving to Stockton High Street and opening a "gaming cafe" on-site.
Game On Retro, which was based in a small unit at Bishopton Lane has opened the café, named Snakes and Lattes, within the premises, offering a space for gamers to challenge friends to card or board games while enjoying a range of food and drink.
“We started Game On Retro with just a handful of games and consoles and a whole heap of passion,” said company owner, Graham Peacock, 34.
“In our old, smaller unit we had visitors from London, Manchester and Liverpool, so we hope the larger space and gaming café will continue to draw in crowds from both Stockton and further afield.
Game On Retro buys, sells, trades, repairs, modifies and customises games consoles and retro games.
The shop regularly offers new stock from retro consoles such as NES, Gamecube and Dreamcast.
Modern gaming consoles have also been installed at the store, for those wanting to play something more current.
