POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was threatened with a knife in a shop in Stockton.
The incident happened at around 7.50pm on Sunday at Grays Road Wine Lodge in Grangefield, Stockton.
A man entered the store and approached the counter before producing a knife, threatening the woman and demanding cash, leaving her “shaken” and “upset”.
He removed a quantity of cash from the till, believed to be between £70 and £95, before leaving the store and turning left on to Grays Road.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged 20-25 years old, around 5ft 6” tall, of medium build with a spotty complexion and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit and white trainers.
He had his hood up in an attempt to cover his face, police say.
