NEW homes are being sought for three kittens who were abandoned in an empty box of crisps.

Skips, Pringle and Wotsit were discovered in a sorry state in the cardboard box in Bradford by a member of the public who took them to the vets.

They are now being fostered by Blue Cross volunteer Helen Moore who has looked after 80 cats for the charity in the past two years.

The 40-year-old of Wynyard, Stockton, said: “These cats have been through a traumatic experience. They were starving, covered in black dust and very cold when they were found cowering in the box of crisps, wrapped in a piece of cloth. I really am hoping for a rags to riches story for these little kittens. After the rough start they had, these kittens deserve a loving home.

"They have been with me for around a week now and seem very happy, and would make excellent pets. All of them are affectionate and friendly animals despite their horrible experience."

The short haired domestic cats are around six weeks old and will be strong enough for adoption at nine weeks.
