A CRITICALLY acclaimed new play from one of Britain’s leading touring theatre companies is touring the wider region after its showcase in Thirsk.

Tamasha Theatre brought their Made In India production to The Courthouse in Thirsk last week where invited guests were given the chance to enjoy the play first.

The showcase performance, which included an question and answer session with the cast and company afterwards, marked the launch of the play which will now go on to venues across the wider region as part of the Rural Arts innovative ‘Create Tour’ project.

The play follows the story of three women who meet at a surrogacy clinic in Gujarat who all have their different reasons for wanting to conceive.

The production will next be shown on consecutive days from April 26 at Freebrough Academy, Saltburn, Tuned In at Redcar, Loftus Town Hall, Saltburn and the final performance on April 29 at Yarm Fellowship Hall, Stockton.
