POLICE have arrested a 28-year-old man from the Stockton area in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl.
The girl was making her way along a cycle path, at the rear of Tithe Barn Road, when an attacker struck around 7.30am, on Wednesday, September 21.
The path links the Hardwick and Elmtree areas of Stockton.
The man was also arrested on suspicion of sexual assault in connection with a separate incident.
He remains in police custody this afternoon.
