THE occupants of a car had a lucky escape after their car ploughed into a hedgerow.
Officers from Cleveland and Durham Roads Policing Unit attended a report of a vehicle having left the road on the A177 between Sedgefield and Thorpe Larches, near Stockton.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "It was a relief to find the occupants safe and well, although a little shaken, on arrival.
"A huge thank you to the good Samaritan who stopped to offer his assistance prior to police arrival."
