A MAN who entered a block of flats on Wednesday morning - believed to be brandishing a gun - is still being hunted by police.
Armed police were called to Titan House in York Road, Hartlepool, at 10.10am after receiving reports a man with a firearm was in dispute with one of the tenants.
The suspect had left by the time police arrived, and the tenant was evacuated to safety.
He is still being hunted by police, who said he was not believed to be a threat to the wider public.

A police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm it is not believed there is any threat to anyone inside the building or to the wider community in Hartlepool.
“People are being allowed into and out of the building, however, police are still investigating an incident which took place there this morning when they responded to a call that someone armed with a firearm was inside the building.
“An investigation has commenced to find out if this was the case, but there is no reason to believe anyone is now under any type of threat or in danger.”
